About Me
Hello! My name is Andrew Darfoor, and I am a recent Computer Science graduate from American University. I was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland, where I developed an early interest in technology, problem-solving, and interactive software.
Throughout my studies and personal projects, I have focused on building software that is both functional and engaging. I enjoy breaking complex problems into manageable pieces and creating clean, maintainable solutions. My experience includes web development, software engineering, and game development using modern tools and programming languages.
I recently graduated and am seeking opportunities within the software development industry where I can continue growing as a developer, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain valuable professional experience. My long-term goal is to work in game development and help create engaging interactive experiences.
Outside of programming, I enjoy reading, listening to music, playing video games, drawing, watching TV, and writing. I am particularly fond of single-player and indie games, though I also enjoy many AAA titles. I am a longtime Nintendo fan, play a bit of viola, regularly practice coding exercises, and enjoy exploring new ideas through personal projects. Right now I'm reading Wildwood and playing Mina the Hollower.
I also help care for my mother, an experience that has strengthened my patience, responsibility, and time management skills. Whether working independently or as part of a team, I value communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
